Today is the big day!  Georgetown Eagles softball has made a triumphant return to the UIL 5A State tournament.  Meanwhile, the Eagles' baseball team could punch their ticket to the State tournament.  Lake Travis will need a win to force a Saturday game three - the good news is, the game is right here in the 512 so we can go support!

Check me out on FOX 7 AUSTIN this morning (Friday, 940 am-ish) talking UIL playoffs and more in the FLX Universe!

The game will take place at storied McCombs Field (home of the 2022 World Series bound University of Texas softball team).  It should be noted that the area will be extra crowded due to its neighbor, Dische Faulk Field hosting the NCAA Baseball regional tournament.  The Longhorns game will starts at 1pm as well.

Eagles have amassed a record of 33-3 under head coach Melissa Hall.  Aledo is 33-2 on the season (their 2 losses to Coppell and Rockwall).

In baseball news, Georgetown baseball needs a win to clinch a return to state after beating Sharyland Pioneer 4-0 last night.  Game Two is tonight at 7pm in Jourdanton.

Lake Travis Game Two vs S.A. Reagan is tonight, after the Rattlers took Game One 3-2 in extra innings.  That game will take place right here in Austin, at Concordia University.

Stay tuned as we monitor and report from the games tonight!  And thank you for supporting Austin-area Varsity athletics.
