Its been a big recruiting week for Austin High Girls Basketball. Maroons star wing player Jade Clack ('23) announced on Twitter Wednesday that she will be continuing her academic and athletic career at Texas Christian University!
The reigning District 26-6A MVP has been a staple of the Maroons program since her freshman year. She broke out in a major way her junior year, averaging double figures since that point. Clack helped lead the Maroons to the Regional Quarterfinals in 2022, further than any other Central Texas 6A program.
The daughter of former UT Longhorns/Anderson Trojans/NBA Kris Clack and Austin High head coach Emerald Amen, Jade certainly has the pedigree. But #15 is focused on forging her own career path. The next stop is Fort Worth - but luckily we are blessed to have one more Varsity season as Clack enters her senior year.
Jade also plays volleyball for the Maroons, so we will see her in action early August.
