Leander Lions Football is switching it up after two years.  Opening the regular season versus crosstown rival Glenn has ended its 2-year run because the two programs are now both in the same district (District 11-5A D1).  So head coach Kris Price and the Lions scrimmaged versus Marble Falls to help prepare for their new opening week opponent - Pflugerville Panthers (August 26th).

Head coach Kris Price enters his 3rd season as Lions' lead.

Editor's note: wide out Aiden Parker is actually just a super sophomore, graduating Class of '25!

New Lions QB1 Burkman ('23) has patiently waited for this moment to lead.

Unquestionably, one of the area's best student sections resides at Leander High.  The football team hasn't had recent playoff success, but that does not damper school spirit.  If the Lions are gonna turn it around, they definitely will have the student body support.

Among those that impressed us, were the largely slept on seniors.  Since the Lions had so many Class of ‘22 players start in 2021, the next class will finally get a chance to prove what the fans have been missing.  In particular, Kyle Lavin (’23) looked speedy on the outside.
