There wasn't going to be another game after Saturday.  Either result would mark the end of a special season by Georgetown Eagle Softball.  Our longest lasting 5A program lost to Lake Creek (#1 ranked in the nation) in the State Championship game at Red McCombs Field, 7-0.

With just two starting seniors, Coach Melissa Hall returns 6 of 8 positional starters, plus pitcher-specialist Cambree Creager.  Getting one step further into the tournament this year, as compared to 2021…one could theorize they take the next step in 2013.

Stay tuned Sunday night, as we wipe away the tears and compile the emotional footage from Saturday's game.  Thank you for all the memories, Eagles!
