Bay's back!  Former Leander Softball All State star Baylea Brandon ('21) will be playing next season for the Texas Longhorns!

The left-handed pitching/throwing Brandon batted an eye popping .505 during her senior campaign at Leander, helping lead them to a #1 overall ranking in the entire Nation.  Baylea slugged 21 home runs en route to the UIL State 5A Seminals in 2021.  3 years prior, Brandon made Varsity as a freshman and won All District honors immediately.  11 home run Super Soph season where she batted north of .400 with another First Team designation.  Her junior season was cut short due to the pandemic.

Baylea signed and played for the LSU Tigers in 2022.  Her freshman year, Bay splashed onto the Southeast Conference scene.  She ripped two home runs in limited playing time.

We are super excited to have Baylea back in the Austin-area, and will definitely be making a trip to McCombs Field to check her out for the Longhorns.  After all, she was the player that inspired us to go deeper into softball coverage.  Forever indebted, Bay Bay!
