District 12-6A has two Austin area teams in this district are Weiss and Hutto. With an emphasis in Killeen since our man Mike Hardge is a local celebrity there, we like to keep an eye on them. Weiss and Hutto will have road trips this year during their away games. Temple, Harker Heights, Bryan, Hewitt Midway and Copperas Cove are trips for our Austin Area teams. 

Players to watch: 

Hutto- QB- Will Hammond (6’ 2” 190 4.7 40), WR- Alex Green (6’ 0” 185, 4.4 40) OL- Preston Honeycutt (6’3” 260, 5.2 40) DB- Cashton LaPlante (6’2” 190, 4.8 40) 

Weiss- DL- Chad Otutu (6’2” 285, 5.1 40), DB- Peyton Morgan (6’ 1” 175, 4.5 40), WR- Adrian Wilson (6’ 2” 180, 4.5 40), Jerald Mays (6’ 3” 265, 4.9 40) OL- Jerald Mays (6’3” 265, 4.9 40) WR- Jaylen Brazzle (5’10” 165) WR- Jacques Spradley-Demps (6’1” 195) 

Sleeper Team: Hutto- QB Will Hammond and WR Alex Green will be the biggest threats for other teams. Hammond is a Texas Tech commit and Green has multiple offers from teams like Airforce, North Texas, Yale, and Western Kentucky. While Weiss has a leg up after making the playoffs last year, and have many notable DI athletes like Peyton Morgan, Adrian Wilson, and Chad Otutu, look for Hutto to put up a fight for the last playoff spot in this district.
