NEW THURSDAY: Connnally DB Barron (’20) Commits To Texas

Strike up another one for Texas!  After the basketball excitement last week of Greg Brown staying home (Vandegrift 5 star product, joining Shaka Smart and company next year), the hits keep rolling.

Connally DB Jahdae Barron (’20) has verbally committed to play for Tom Herman after being granted a release from his National Letter of Intent (NLI) at Baylor.

Check Jahdae out in action, beating area top ranked defense Hutto on this go route.

Jahdae announced via Twitter that he would make his announcement on Thursday afternoon around 1pm.  After an opening questionnaire from host Justin Schultz, Barron briefly disappeared off screen between saying “I’m committed to….” and “…the University of Texas”.

Barron had picked up offers via Virginia Tech, Mississippi State and Washington State all within the past 24 hours.  D1 programs all over the country would have loved to have the two-time All District 11-5A First Teamer on their squad.  The Horns won today.

Let us know what you think of Barron heading to the 40 Acres!   Have you ever played against #8 or seen him play live in person?  Drop your thoughts on the newest Longhorn below!
